"If you were a photographer just five to 10 years ago, if you wanted people to see your work, you would need to take your big camera and your big lens and maybe your tripod, and go out on location and take these photos and go back to the darkroom and get them printed and then you’d need to find an outlet to get them published—a magazine or a newspaper...fast forward to right now. You have the ability to take a photo—you can edit the photograph and you can publish it. You can broadcast it to thousands of followers on Instagram, you can push it to your other social networks, and you can do all of that in minutes… It’s not just professional photographers now who can become famous, to use the word loosely.”
